The heart behind BubbleLoukie
Hello BubbleLoukie friends! The heart behind...

Hello BubbleLoukie friends!
What’s bubbling in this post?
Interesting fine motor skills facts!
Fine motor skills involve small precise movements of the hands and fingers.
Since our preschool days, we’ve been colouring, drawing pictures, cutting, and doing glue-and-paste activities. As children, we hardly realised the benefits these fun worksheets offered.
Fine motor exercises help your child master the following skills to function independently:
• tying shoelaces
• fastening and unfastening buttons
• holding a knife and fork correctly
• holding a pencil properly
• using scissors for cutting activities
Fine motor exercises strengthen concentration and develop problem-solving skills. Every small task a child masters boosts their self-confidence.
Fine motor milestones for each stage:
1–2 years
• building towers with blocks
• stacking rings on a ring tower
• turning pages
• they use a spoon and cup with more independence
• they begin scribbling and use shape sorters
2–3 years
• stringing beads
• using scissors
• holding a crayon with a better grip
• copy simple block designs and imitate strokes
• recognise and match simple puzzle pieces
3–4 years
• building taller block towers
• copy basic shapes
• cut out simple shapes
• using a pencil grip that is more refined
4–5 years

How workbooks can help:
Workbooks with a variety of activities, such as tracing, colouring and cutting, help refine hand-eye coordination and precision. Workbooks with activities that include matching shapes, fitting puzzle pieces together and placing pictures in designated spots, enhance your child’s spatial awareness.
Let me know which worksheets in the BubbleLoukie books are your child’s favorite!
I conclude with the following verse, may God be your strength and power in every task you undertake:
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
BubbleLoukie greetings
